Powers

Hyper Speed: Jenni’s powers are based on speed. Her movement is at Class 3000 airspeed. Jenni can move at hyper-sonic speeds that approach the speed of light. Her top speed has been clocked around 2,000,000 mph.! Her normal movement is at Unearthly airspeed (600 mph, see below).
Deliver 100 “Good” Blows in a round
Jenni moves so fast he is able to perform 4 actions a combat round.
Resist Cold: Excellent
Considered Unearthly rank for Fighting for multiple attacks and evading.
Considered Unearthly rank for Agility for dodging and catching projectiles.
Considered Unearthly rank for Intuition for initiative.
When attempting to hit Jenni the attacker must have initiative or succeed in an Unearthly Intuition FEAT, otherwise she will have moved out of the way. This FEAT is not required if the attacker also has Hyper-speed powers.
She may percieve any object’s momentum as though it were moving at Feeble speed E.g: Arrows and bullet sized objects appear moving at 5 m/ph
Air Control: By moving her limbs at super speed, Jenni can generate gale-force winds (Amazing speed – 375 mph) and can create Amazing wind shields or wind blasts. These cannot penetrate Force Fields or air-based shields of higher rank.
XS is considered to have Unearthly Endurance for movement and tiring purposes.
Energy Sheath: XS projects an aura that surrounds and protects her from excess heat and friction when she moves allowing him to ignore the enivromental effects of friction (including sonic booms) enabling her to surpass standard speed constraints. Due to this XS uses the air speed column for movement and is not restricted by atmospheric conditions. This aura seems to be a by-product of the Speed Force, and can slightly blunt physical attacks, as well as the effects of windburn and friction-heat. While moving Jenni is considered to have Good protection vs. Physical Attacks, and Incredible vs. Heat and Friction, due to the aura that the Speed Force provides.

Limitation

The Call of the Speed Force: If Hyper-Running is successfully Pushed to Shift-X or above, XS must immediately make a Reason FEAT at a -2 CS penalty. If XS does not score at least Green, she hears “the call” of the Speed Force. She must devote all her subsequent actions to breaking the “Speed Force Barrier” (Pushing her Hyper-Speed to achieve a speed of Shift-Y or higher; Jenni must make a Red Power FEAT. Once she does, she must make another Reason FEAT with a -2 CS penalty. If this check fails, XS is absorbed by the Speed Force (and effectively “dies”). If the check scores Green or better, XS is instead bounced into the future an amount of time determined by the GM and no longer must attempt to break the Speed Force Barrier.

Equipment

Every Legionaire has access to the following personal equipment
Flight Ring: Allows True Flight at Excellent rank. Made from Typical strength materials. Able to broadcast an SOS with a 500 light year range. Additionally when travelling in a group the rings act in concert so the group will all travel at the fastest characters speed.
Telepathic Ear Plug: Made from Typical strength materials, these permit Typical rank telepathic abilities.
Transuits: These suits permit the wearer to utilise their own unique abilities without penalty. Additionally the suits provide Class 1000 Life Support.
Each Legionaire may also select items from “The Store” for unique occasions. These include:
Chronal Howitzer: Is a bomb like device that sends it’s target/victims through time with Class 1000 ability.
Distorters: Image inducers permit Amazing rank illusions, disguising the appearance of the user
Blaster Rifles: Amazing strength energy blast. Range 5 areas.
Dominator Blasters: Incredible strength energy blast. Range 4 areas.
Hand Held Blasters: Incredible strength energy blast. Range 2 areas.
Sklarian Blasters: Incredible strength energy blast. Range 4 areas.
Khund Blasters: Incredible strength energy blast. Range 4 areas.

History

Beginning with Barry Allen, the second twentieth-century hero known as the Flash, all members of the Allen family were born possessing superhuman speed. The only exception to this was Jenni Ognats.

Jenni is the daughter of Dawn Allen Ognats, one of the famed Tornado Twins, who used their super-speed abilities to free people from Dominator experimentation camps. In the process of this rescue, though, she and her brother Don were killed, and the Dominators became fixated on them and their super-speed as a subject for new experiments. With her grandfather Barry dead long ago from a Crisis and her mother and uncle killed by the Dominators, only she and her cousin Bart remained of the Allen genetic speed heritage. Bart was taken back in time by their grandmother Iris to save his life from his runaway metabolism which was aging him too quickly. This left Jenni, who went with her father to hide out on his home planet Aarok. This didn’t work, though, and the Dominators caught up to them. They tried fruitlessly to trigger her super-speed abilities many times, but they didn’t succeed until they threatened her father with torture. Her latent powers kicked in, and she managed to rescue her father. The government of Aarok then took over her life to test her abilities, albeit in a much more humane manner.

When the Legion of Super-Heroes was formed, Jenni was drafted to join them as XS. At first she was scared of the dangerous missions, but Legion leader Cosmic Boy inspired her to face her fears rather than run from them. She has since developed an attraction for him.

On a time-travel mission to the twentieth century, Jenni was lost because her speed powers messed up her time-travel, and she was found by the twentieth-century super-villain Chronos. She eventually escaped his grasp, and found her way to the one group of people who might be able to help her reach her home era…the twentieth century’s super-speedsters, led by her cousin Wally West, the third Flash. She met her cousin Bart, now known as Impulse, but soon after they met, their speed was stolen by the villain Savitar. After Savitar was defeated, Wally West disappeared and in his place appeared John Fox, who took the name Flash in the twenty-seventh century. Fox, who had considerable knowledge of time travel, helped Jenni get home, where she was picked up by Valor and Andromeda to help out her fellow Legionnaires in their fight against the Fatal Five.
